  • CA CPT

    Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is an entry level test for the CA course. CPT Conducted twice a year, in JUne and December.

    Eligibility

    Students who have passed their 10 + 2 can enroll for the Common Proficiency Test (CPT). Registrations for CPT are open all year round. The exam is conducted twice a year in May and November. Students have to ensure that they register at least 10 months before the examination.

    Test Pattern and Subjects

    It tests students on four subjects— Fundamentals of Accounting, Mercantile Laws, General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude. This is a Multiple Choice Question-type exam, for 200 Marks, with 1 Mark for a correct answer and 0.25 negative mark for a wrong answer. This test is divided into two sessions of two hours each with a break in between. 

    SESSION I (Two sections, two hours, 100 marks)

    Section A: Fundamentals of Accounting (60 marks)
    Section B: Mercantile Laws (40 marks)


    SESSION II (Two sections, two hours, 100 marks)

    Section C: General Economics (50 marks)
    Section D: Quantitative Aptitude (50 marks)

    FAQ

    What is the eligibility for appearing in the examination?

    A registered student may appear in Common Proficiency Test after he has appeared in the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 examination) conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India or an examination recognised by the Central Government as equivalent thereto and has complied with such requirements as may be specified by the Council from time to time.

    CPT examination is being held twice in a year i.e., in June & December.

    After passing CPT and 10+2 examination conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India or an examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto, a student may join the Chartered Accountancy Course.

  • CA IPCC

    CA - Integrated Professional Competence Course (CA - IPCC)

    Students who have completed atleast 12 months of training as articled or audit clerks and have completed the oral/postal tuition scheme imparted by the Board of Studies, are eligible to take the Intermediate Examination or the IPCC. The examination has the following 7 subjects.

    Group - I has 4 Papers : Accounting, Law, Cost Accounting and Financial Management, and Taxation

    Group - II has 3 Papers: Advanced Accounting, Auditing and Assurance, Information Technology and Strategic Management

    The Pass Mark is minimum 40% in each paper, and 50% in aggregate of all papers of the respective groups.

  • CA FINAL

    CA FINAL

    Students who have successfully cleared the IPCC examination and have completed the prescribed period of articleship or have yet to serve a period of not more than 9 months of such services can take the Final Examination. The Examination has the following groups.

    GROUP I: Subjects- Financial Reporting, Strategic Financial Management, Advanced Auditing and Professional Ethics, and Corporate and Allied Laws

    GROUP II: Subjects- Advanced Management Accounting, Information Systems Control and Audit, Direct Tax Laws and Indirect Tax Laws

    The Pass Mark is minimum 40% in each paper, and 50% in aggregate of all papers of that groups.
